Industry Noise Control

Industry noise control must be followed have been carried out using a series of perfectly defined guidelines.

The first thing to keep in mind is what area you want to carry out the acoustic study of the industry.

If noise control is required inside the factory, to improve the acoustic comfort of the workers, or if noise control is to be achieved outside the factory, taking into account the noise levels indicated in the environmental authorization required as a reference of allowed acoustic limits.

In both cases, noise control in industry begins by analyzing all the sources of noise of the activity that is capable of transmitting sound levels to the outside environment. Once the most important sources of noise have been specified, the correct measures necessary to reduce these noise levels will be designed. An action plan will be drawn up to determine the different phases for achieving the objective set.

The acoustic study in the industry, comprises the following phases:

Phase 1: Noise measurement campaign in the industry.

For the characterization of the sound sources of the facilities. A data collection and analysis will be carried out “in situ” of the existing acoustic situation. Identification of the sound emission of all sources or groups of sources will be carried out.

Phase 2: Preparation of the acoustic model of the current situation.

Preparation of a three-dimensional acoustic model with which the propagation of sound will be evaluated, and the levels of sound pressure transmitted in the area under study will be estimated, in the current and future scenarios.

Phase 3: Design of corrective measures.

Definition of solutions to reduce noise levels, both in the machinery itself and in the environment in which it is located (acoustic enclosures or noise barriers, sectorization of work areas, acoustic absorption treatments), etc.

Phase 4: Implementation in the model of corrective measures in its different phases.

In agreement with the client, an action plan will be defined for the following years in which the terms, the corrective measures, the economic valuation and the expected reductions will be defined after their execution. This will be accompanied by the different acoustic models of the planned future situations, after each phase of action.

Phase 5: Final evaluation of the acoustic improvement achieved.

Carrying out a series of measurements that determine the new situation after the execution of the corrective measures. And that depending on the fulfillment or not of the acoustic objectives set, it will start another more demanding acoustic noise control study, or it will terminate all the corrective actions.

Industry Noise Control

Currently acoustic studies in industries to achieve the necessary noise control, and thus achieve the objectives set. They are the main work carried out, and of which we can be most proud of at Iberacústica, by helping more and more to combat noise pollution in a sector as important as industry.
